Manager (Current Employee) – New York, NY – May 24, 2017
This is a company that is lost. The managers are promoted from within - and specifically Southeast Asia - and placed in areas in which they have no expertise. The result is bad management, followed by resentment from the workers who have to clean up the messes. There is a clear culture of preferring favorites - once again, very heavily weighted to Southeast Asia.
Genpact is a pure outsourcing company- a business that is dying quickly. There is lip service but no real commitment to preparing for the future.
The work environment reflects this slapdash culture. Grandiose initiatives are created with no basis in reality, and go away quickly with no plans on how to operationalize or follow through the first push.
The workplace culture is to suck up to management and hope to be given an opportunity, as it is definitely not a meritocracy. The easiest part of the job is that you are absolutely not held to performance, so you can skate for years if you're so inclined.
Most critically, Genpact lies to its clients. The client teams are told to sell and implement solutions knowing that the company doesn't have the people, resources or knowledge to deliver. The project planning is a joke, leading to many legal settlements. Management has specifically said that it is cheaper to pay this than not to grow.
Being in Finance, especially in FP&A for almost a decade have tough me to be proficient in analyzing financial data for forecast & projections and their implications in an ERP environment.
My objectives are to ensure advance reporting for decision making. Well-disciplined with proven ability to manage multiple assignments & teams efficiently, I have managed extreme pressure and meet tight deadline schedules.
Being with a giant corporate for so long, it is always fun to work here in US. But not I believe it's a good time to move on and accordingly, I am looking for a right opportunity in Canada and Australia.

The company does not do well if it can't keep expanding on opportunities. That is all they care about in the end. Not that you are doing a excellent job. They make promises but then never follow through.
Contractor (Former Employee) – Cincinnati, OH – April 6, 2017
Manager did not listen or respond to employee needs for information or concerns about job related activities. Felt the manager did not care about employees, just landing more work which didn't happen when needed.

It was a great experience working with Genpact. It's a place where we can improve technical skills and at the same time it's a workplace with fun. We have people around who can help us and whom we can help in any work issues. genpact helped me collaborate with new people and work as a team.
