Our client, citim AM Inc., has been a leading developer of prototypes and small series for over 15 years. Founded in 1996 and based in Barleben, Germany, citim operates state of the art manufacturing facilities under certified quality management systems. Their focus is on the manufacturing of functional parts with production-oriented features, which can be used for functional, dynamic, and long-term tests/performance checks, test stands, and stress tests. As a leader in the German market, they offer a wide range of technologies, such as: DMLS and Selective Laser Melting (SLM), PolyJet, Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), tool-making (injection molding, die casting), cast urethanes, CNC, and advanced nylon casting in silicon molds. Beyond simply producing parts layer by layer, citim is a full service provider for Additive Layer Manufacturing of plastic and metal parts.

Citim has recently established a US subsidiary office in the greater Atlanta area in order to serve the entire North American market. To continue their successful business in the US they are currently seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer.

  • Responsible for assembly, operation and maintenance of CNC machines
  • Support preparation for additive manufacturing (SLM – DMLS)
  • Perform component reworking and finishing activities
  • Operate machines and change the set-up/tooling
  • Ensure safety procedures are being met
  • Communicate all issues to management that could result in process delays or safety issues
  • Meet and maintain production standards
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
  • Monitor own work to ensure quality

Required qualifications:

  • Technical Associates degree or related discipline
  • 5 years plus of experience in metal processing (milling, drilling, grinding)
  • 5 years plus of experience in tool making/model making and CNC milling
  • Distinct technical understanding
  • Proficiency in common PC/IT applications
  • Solid work history and professional references
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and international environment
  • Affinity for new technologies
  • Willingness to travel to Germany for a 6-week training
  • Knowledge of the German language is a huge plus but not required
