Pros: great opportunity to learn new skills if coming from an academic background
Cons: no benefits, underpaid, overworked.
A typical day at work varies between meeting heavy days and online research activities. Client calls, custom projects, primary and secondary research conduct, market forcast and analysis are just a few of the undertaken tasks.
The workload is huge and the available information/tools are not adequate for the fast progress of the report and/or analysis products.
Management is quite poor. This is a small company with very young executives that have never been managers before (in previous companies etc). Mistakes happen daily and the poor leadership affects an already low morale.
The hardest part of the job is meeting the deadline as people have to work from 50-100 hours per week at times.
The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely meeting clients and interviewing KOLs.
