Pros: free lunches
Cons: no 401K, no advancement opportunities

The environment is meant to be a party, while the actual business of the department is run very poorly. Management is under qualified.

I will always respect and treasure my experience with Globaltranz. The atmosphere made it a great place to come into every day. The management had a open door policy which made it comfortable to go to the management any time. The only reason I resigned from Globaltranz was the job security. I want to find a company that I feel that I can grow with years to come and Globaltranz wasn't that place for me.

Pros: fun, catered lunch, good environment.
Cons: no job security, stressful.
GlobalTranz is a fun place to work but does not keep employees. GlobalTranz provides a fun work environment with room for advancement. I was promoted and let go within a month, along with 30 other co workers. Do not expect a long term job here, they are all about the money and it shows.

Cut throat sales job that is the time of your life
Freight Broker (Former Employee), PhoenixNovember 8, 2014
Job was easy enough. Make 75-100 phone calls a day and book freight. The issue was the steady climbing sales quota that eventually gets too high that only a small perfect of people can hit because they get all the accounts from employees that they fire.

Totally clueless managment and Owner
Sales Agent/Freight Broker (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZMay 12, 2014
Pros: you are your own boss, kind of.
Cons: you get nothing on comision only and you pay $300 per month out of pocket to work for them?
They want you to work on comission only, no pay, no healthcare, no vacation time, and you pay them $300 per month for the use of their website. Then if a customer has a $15,000 invoice and doesnt want to pay it, or goes out of business, they take it out of your pay check. So they never lose on anything, if customer doesnt pay they get it from you, if you quit they will go after your past customers. They also have an inside sales team that goes after your current customer list, for example: You have Company ABC set up at 20% profit margins and you and Globaltranz are splitting that profit 50/50, well the inside sales team will call that same customer and tell them that they can set them up a 15% margins costing you a customer and Globaltranz still makes a 50/50 split and dont care if its 15% margin or 20% margin. So you dont just battle other 3PL's, and carriers, but your very own company. NO team work at all, its just everyone for themselves and the owner doesnt care. And the truck department is an absoult joke, you will lose more $$$ on this if you ever do lock down a truck in the 1st place. Trust me this isnt a upset past agent, but I know this company inside and out, from the owner to the newest hired agent, they do not care about employees or customers. Only interested in selling franchises and signing up more agents, if they quit no big deal they will just go after your past clients.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Prescott Valley, AZFebruary 17, 2014
Pros: free lunches on friday
Cons: no room for advancement
A typical work day was handling up to a 150 calls a day incoming and out going. I learned how to build relationships and work as a team with customers as well as sales agent. Made sure that tasks were done in a timely matter. The management at this organization did not motivate employees in the right direction. The most enjoyable part of my job was building relationships with customers as well as co-workers.

Great place to work IF YOU CAN MAKE THE CUT
Truckload Carrier Representative (Freight Broker) (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZJanuary 9, 2014
Pros: advancement decent pay(salary) with comissions
Cons: no job security constatly thinking about work takeing after hour calls
in a nutshell its cold calling sales. you need to learn to be ruthless and lie through your teeth to get sales and make profit....basically be a con artist.

Strict quotas doesn't matter if the month is slow or not if you dont make quota your fired (seen half a region get fired same day) granted they dont fire "good people" those are the pople who managed to get a foot hold on there sales/carriers during busy season and can "slide" through a dead month

IMHO they should give some newbies a chance; a dead month 75% dont meat quota and they fire newbies......hard to get good people when you have the best of the best nippign at your toes during those slow months adn the replacments are always "new" and have no clue whats going on

Security because of this is abysmal but they are highring like 80-100 people a month so if you can get into management advancement opportunities are like none other

Fun place to work but not fast turn over of employees
Logistics Consultant/Supply Chain Management (Current Employee), phoenix, ArizonaDecember 30, 2013
Get into the office at 6am and stay till 330pm. Great learning experience but full account management do not equal pay. Most of the employees do not have schooling or degrees. If quota is not met that month, you can be let go even being loyal to the company.

Revolving door
Sales Account Lead (Former Employee), PhoenixJune 24, 2013
Pros: fun work environment
Cons: constant change, no managemnt support
This a great job for a young post grad, it is a very fun work environment, that comes with high pressure to preform. This division is still very new and they are still trying to figure out what works. This is a revolving door, you are only as good as the quotas you reach, either preform or your gone. There is a constant battle between sales and operations, which is a direct reflection on upper management.
