Management can learn to be more professional with their work ethics, but it is a very enjoyable place to work.

Never had a 12 hour day, was always 14-15 hours, 6 days a week was not uncommon. I have never been treated as badly as I was treated by Platinum Corral. Not matter what you did, it was not enough. At this job I greeted and took orders for customers. I learned to communicate with staff and customers. Management was good. My co-workers help as needed. I enjoyed my job because I was working with customers on a daily basis and working at a fast pace, multi-tasking, therefore everything was easy and fun for me.

Had great management. Hours were cut quite often. Hardest part of the job was standing in one spot all day with no breaks on my feet.

There was never a dull moment working in the kitchen. We constantly stayed busy which made the work day go by quick.

GC is a fun challange. Rough hours, exciting to see all the people coming in and being taken care of. A great team makes for a fantastic place to work.

The Golden Corral in Boynton Beach,FL is a franchised restaurant that is owned by a private company. The restaurant serves 10 to 13 thousand people a week. As a manager, keeping the restaurant – more...  running successfully everyday comes with many challenges.
The owners require that the managers work in the employee positions which makes in fairly difficult to manage a restaurant which serves over 2500 people a day.
I learned a tremendous amount from working there, not just professionally but also personally by strengthening myself as a better leader and role model.
In the end I refused to work 6-6.5 days a week, sometimes over 80 hours a week, considering my employee/employer agreement was 5 days 55 hours a week. – less

Golden Corral is a fast pace work place where a lot of customer service is involved and is all about the customers needs. When it comes down to the management and the hours they give, it's not very reliable.
