Fast paced internet company has an immediate opening for a Cosmetics Brand Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and strategic planning for continued growth of the top and bottom line. This position will develop, prioritize, and carry out brand strategy, new product development, new customer and industry penetration, and possible targeted acquisitions. This person MUST enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and will be the internal and external leader of the current staff and have a hand in growing the team.
A proven track record of growing a branded consumer products, ideally medical skin care; experience in Health and Beauty/Skincare/Personal Care/Cosmetics is preferred; will be a seasoned profit & loss manager who understands all aspects of a business, but with an emphasis on marketing, sales and business development; internet-based business and shopping cart experience is required, knowledge of other/alternate channels is a plus;
A strategic, pragmatic, and innovative mindset; can drive organizational best practices within an overall context of meeting the group’s objectives for growing revenues, increasing earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, and exceeding customers’ expectations;
An entrepreneurial spirit; will be a proactive, energetic seller/doer, capable of assessing the market, devising and executing the plan to build the business and bring in new customers; possess the ability to develop vision for where the business needs to go;
A strong marketing, sales and web design expertise; must possess solid customer focused ability at the highest level; the ideal candidate will bring relevant industry/potential new verticals contacts and ideas on how to grow revenues and margins;
Must be able to work collaboratively within an organization; must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to create credibility and trust and foster a team environment; regarded by all levels as an exceptional leader and relationship builder; excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills;
A well-developed work ethic; must be focused and have a sense of urgency with the ability to “self-start” without waiting for instructions; a high energy level and personal self-confidence (but without a large ego) to engender confidence and trust;
A decisive thinker, doer and strategic leader; will challenge, push and inspire the team to think “big” and long term; the ability to focus on key issues/initiatives that will benefit the company in the long term; courageous and decisive – willing to make a tough call after reviewing the facts;
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; a culture and team builder who will be effective in building strong partnerships and credibility at all levels, as well as work with remote locations and vendors;
International market exposure is a huge plus;
