Start by fixing the poor hiring process. Split HR into three centralized tiers for recruiting: Tech, Mfg Operations, and Supply Chain. Additionally, plant leadership is not progressive in bringing in talent that has advanced skills to advance the company. The companies leadership is friend based versus qualified. Furthermore, the company keeps recruiting to a 1990's spec. The old and new employee mashup is not balanced. New employee turnover is high. Its not a fit issue its a lack of progressive leadership. Nothing better than seeing the VP Of Operations reading books on leadership at work and practicing in the live environment. The mandatory GSF University is not aligned to help develop employees. If you have a degree its a repeat of your associates degree. Nothing is customized to your development.
