Ticket Operations Assistant (Current Employee), Oakland, CAJune 13, 2014
Pros: free tickets to games, half-day fridays during offseason, cell phone stipend, fsa
Cons: long days during basketball season, no company 401k match, low pay
Working in my department is never consistent. One day we'll be swamped at work for 13 hours, the next day there will be absolutely nothing to do. Never any gray area! Paying attention to detail is key in operations, since finances are being handled. Management, for the most part, helps to develop employees. Organization-wide, there is an eclectic mix of employees, young and old, from all walks of life. The hardest part of the job is managing work with a healthy home life. The most enjoyable aspect is all that comes with working for a successful sports team.
