Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Glen Allen, VA – October 17, 2017
Learned so much working here and worked with great managers. Really enjoyed working here. The work environment was fantastic. The hardest part of the job was trying to learn all the club repair techniques.
cashier, did inventory as well as stocking shelves (Former Employee) – Pittsburgh, PA 15205 – July 9, 2017
Amazing management and team support. I really enjoyed the knowledge I gained from coworkers. While working for the company I worked on merchandising with other companies and making sure displays were no only organized but creative as well.
PGA Teaching Professional (Current Employee) – Indianapolis, IN – June 2, 2017
Being a Teaching professional you get to meet and talk to a lot of interesting people. I have made a lot of friends while working there from both customers and associates at the store. It is a very fast paced environment where days and hours can become long. Overall it is a good job that allows you to do many different jobs and be around golf.
You get lost as an individual and are not treated fairly throughout this company. Whether it is Dicks Sporting Goods implementing their views onto the job or the lack of management. I would not recommend working here.
General Sales Manager (Current Employee) – Madison, WI – January 15, 2017
I love golf as a consumer and I was fortunate to be asked to join the Golf Galaxy team 5 years ago and it is a great place to work. Fun friendly atmosphere. Sales were always a top focus but the best part of the job was the level of customer service we were able to provide. being able to fit customers into equipment that truly made there games was fun! Merchandising apparel and helping customers on a busy day then freight replenishment and service work when you could.
getting to be around golf all day is enjoyable. Talking to customers each day about various topics relating to golf is also enjoyable. The routine of the work gets repetitive but there are perks that keep things interesting.
Player's Assistant (Current Employee) – Massachusetts – November 20, 2016
If you are not higher management in the store, you can expect typical retail wages and seasonal schedule. My particular store has good chemistry and solid relationships. Good communication between managers and employees. Excellent opportunities for training and building product knowledge.
The worst part of the job would be the usual retail wages. If you really enjoy the retail environment and enjoy sharing knowledge about golf technology and products, you can certainly grow into more progressive roles.
