GoodLife makes it easy!
Customer Service/Fitness Trainer (Current Employee), Whitby, ON –
GoodLife is a good company to work for! GoodLife is a fast paced enviornment that has helped me develop my customer service skills. I have many duties here and have had a chance to do a little bit of everything, such as

•Answered telephone calls, cold calls, booked appointments and toured prospective individuals.
•New membership prospecting, follow – more...  up and sales
•Generated membership leads through community events, outreach, etc.
•Assisted prospects with purchasing memberships, personal training and tanning, while meeting a sales target
•Created contracts and other legal bindings
•Handled paper work and filing.
•Handled cash, debit and credit while selling items.

I love sales and I love fitness, but I also love law! (recent law graduate) – less

Fast paced and results focused
General Manager (Former Employee), Scarborough –
Pros: free membership
Cons: high pressure
Working for GoodLife was a great experience for me. I learned a lot about human nature and sales. I also learned a lot about Fitness. It was my first Management job and the gave me plenty of time to 'figure it out'. The money was great if you could sell.

Awesome place to work at, how many people can get their workout at place
General Manager/Directeur General (Current Employee), Timmins, ONtario –
Pros: great bonus system, great benefit, educational system and a friendly environment
Cons: 70% sales focus, vs 30% of mgt and lack of interaction with people
Goodlife is a daily operation, focus on sales. 70% of my job requirement is sales and 30% is management. Half of my day is 10 minutes meeting with all dpt. managers to review previous day expectations, reward or reprimand, apply consequences if needed then set today expectations and specific goal setting. The other half is report and analysis for my – more...  divional manager to monitor progress and manage members and associate complaints and other administration duties. – less

Good Values and Great Team
Child Care Provider (Current Employee), Grimsby, ON –
Pros: free membership, fitness advice, positive enviroment
Cons: long hours
My experience at Goodlife was a great one. The values upheld by the company are ones that we should all live by, and they show right through from their staff, volunteers, even the members. For me, the hours made it too difficult to manage home, but they were always trying to be flexable. I enjoyed the team most of all

A great place to work and stay fit.
Group Exercise Instructor (Current Employee), Fredericton, NB –
Pros: free membership for one family member.
Goolife, one of Canada's best run companies, is a great place to work, workout and connect with people in the community. Teaching Fitness is an inspiring job that gives people from many backgrounds an opportunity to be the best they can be, and to go beyond their comfort zone. It also gives instructors the opportunity to grow professionally and personally.

Group EX Team Leader Fitness Instructor (Current Employee), Orangeville, Ontario –
Pros: fun, exciting, achieving, mentoring, growth
Cons: work, life balance
I really enjoy being a part of something. The staff at every GoodLife work extremely hard and they always have a smile on their faces. Being an instructor is one of the best positions to have.
