Superb benefits
Analyst (Current Employee), Westford, MA –
Pros: benefits
Cons: some disorganization
Top notch. You put 6% in the 401K, they match with 6% and you are vested day one, PLUS at the end of the year you get another 2%. Then there is a bonus based on overall company performance, usually around 5%.

Good job if you need one
Production (Former Employee), Burnsville, MN –
Good work environment to start out but management will take advantage of your hard work and then treat you unfairly. If you question any kind of management decision, you will be reprimanded and your employment is put in jeopardy.

Enjoy it at times.
ARC-SPRAY (Former Employee), Hodges, SC –
Pros: pay and benefits
Cons: management
A typical day at work would be fast-paced. I learned how to use different mechanical tools. The management needed some classes. My co-workers were good people. The hardest part of the job was lifting heavy things. The enjoyable part was going to work.

Stable Company, less than average compensation and benefits
Engineer (Former Employee), Riverside, ca –
Pros: lots of work, lots of capital, nice community of employees
Cons: low wages, sub par benefits, old age mindset.
Goodrich has a lot of work in house and coming its way soon. The management team has no problem spending $250,000 on new ergonomic chairs and desks but it won't give some of its most competent workers a raise to retain them. This is a company run by the older baby boomer generation but let me tell you, they know how to make quality parts fast!

Stable employment - limited advancement opportunity
Design Engineer (Current Employee), Troy, Ohio –
Pros: low cost-of-living market; reasonable benefits
Cons: limited mobility
One of the best employers in this area, but career advancement is an afterthought. Corporate policies indicate otherwise, however some old-school managers still feel that promotion should be based on seniority and not ability. Job duties are fine. People are wonderful. If all I wanted was a job, I could work here for decades; but if I want a career, – more...  the so-called senior managers don't know how to develop talent or know what to ask employees about their career aspirations. – less
