Received a job on my first attempt and the staff makes me feel very comfortable.
Administrative Assistant/Receptionist (Current Employee) – Muskegon, MI – September 17, 2016
MOCAP I enjoyed learning about the Community Action Partnership and how it enables people to learn self sufficiency. I enjoyed helping people and being the first smiling face they saw when they came into the office.
Productive Temp Company that provides job placement for disable and low income
Record Clerk (temp assignment) (Former Employee) – New York, NY – May 10, 2016
Its a good company that provides those that are disable with work with the assistance od Social Security. They send them on temp assignment for 3 months at a time, some times its usually a year depending what type of assignment is available. I enjoy working with Good Temps because the last assignment was working for the NYC DOT there were very nice co workers and supervisors and some management made me feel welcome and appreciated for working for them as a temp. Once the assignment was over the temps were given a pizza party.
no awards or reconition of steady work on having assignments extended
Temp Worker (Former Employee) – New York, NY – February 26, 2016
I work with them from 2007 to 2013 and it was great. I love to the help they give when you have problem and if you disable they find job's that can fit your need. As a Temp I was working different job's before I had a problem with my back. I would send someone to this place.
I enjoyed working with Good Temps because it offered a variety of employers.
Secretary (Former Employee) – New York, NY – December 20, 2015
I enjoyed working at different companies with this agency. The assignment I enjoyed the most was at HUD-Section 8. It offered me training in their telephone system and database systems. I learned how to enter information for clients who applied for Section 8, and also did interviews to see if they qualified for Section 8.
Senior Office Assistant (Former Employee) – New York, NY – July 4, 2015
During my tenure at the NYC Department of Buildings, I learned many skills and worked with a truly wonderful team of talented and dedicated NYC employees. I was treated as an employee, although I was actually a contracted temporary employee.
My superiors included me in many management decisions, as they felt that I had a lot to offer, as I have had management experience in the past.
I loved working for a city government agency, and accepting the daily challenges of dealing with the public and private sectors as required.
I moved out of state, and it was therefore no longer feasible for me to work at this downtown NYC agency. I am now looking to work closer to home in the state of New Jersey.
Wonderful working environment and a fantastic and helpful team to help me as needed
Pay scale was well below what my qualifications warranted
Financial Analyst Trainee (Current Employee) – Department Of Sanitation – April 27, 2015
I check the tickets every day if trucks were underweight. If they were underweight we issue violations. I also enter payments into excel and check for duplicates. In addition to that I check if the employees hours for the month are correct and are matching the ledger.
The hardest part of the job is working in the file room carrying boxes and organizing them as well. But I believe that in other jobs there are challenges as well.

Customer Service/ Administrative (Former Employee) – New York, NY – January 30, 2015
the downside to this place is that they promise you a temp to perm which never happens as their clients are mostly state agencies. Good overtime, but no benefits...if you have an issue you are lucky if someone gets back to you. If you want to change your assignment they prefer for you to resign in order to help you... The surprise comes once you resign you are non existent and they ignore you. Also do not expect any raises, I worked for three years and no raise.
Labor Worker (Former Employee) – Muskegon, MI – February 6, 2015
Day started at 6am with the team stacking ingots and getting the furnace ready to heat up. I was thrilled to see management getting right in early to work hand and hand with employees to accomplish the tasks that needed to be done. The hardest part of the job was taking a shovel like object to get impurities out of the furnace.Yet,I really enjoyed the job because there was so much to learn and do.
Temporary Employee (Current Employee) – New York, NY – June 3, 2014
I have had five assignments in total as a temporary worker at Goodtemps. Each assignment has helped me gain a great step towards independence and adds to my skills that I can hopefully take towards a permanent position. It would be better if more businesses had openings for Goodtemps to place me in though. Each time I call my job placement specialist, I cannot get through, and wonder if I will ever hear from them.
Temp (Former Employee) – New York, NY – April 7, 2014
A typical day, is knowing your going to an office where everyone get along so well each other. Knowing your co-worker is there for your when needed, always willing to give a helping hand. Having management who there to oversee you, having the patient to train you and don't mind helping out like a team player to meet deadlines.
The most enjoyable part of the job is sharing how the weekend or weekday when returning back to work. The hardest part is knowing you don't have a job to come back to.
Working at various work assignment locations was very good for developing administrative office skills.

Pleasant work enviornment. Learned a lot about the Buildings Information System and other various websites and databases that dealt with property records, violations, and Certificate of Corrections for property owners in violation, audits. Directors were down to earth and great to work for. Co-workers were friendly and team players. The most challenging was the workload, but work always got done before the timeline given. The most enjoyable part of the job was interconnecting with true professionals.
Temporary On Board Technician (Former Employee) – New York, NY – March 26, 2013
A typical day is following the schedule giving by your sergeant. Monitoring front desk in a orderly manner. What I learned our parent and children needs help. Management needed to communicate better with staff. We had to be a team for our safety in some schools we became more like family. The hardest part of the job is breaking up altercations with gang, students and sometime parents. The most enjoyable part of the job. When u have seen a student who was out of control turn their life around.
