Government Properties Income Trust (NYSE: GOV) is a real estate investment trust, or REIT, which owns 72 properties, 51 of which are leased primarily to the U.S. Government, 18 of which are leased to state governments and one of which is leased to the United Nations. Our properties contain more than 11 million rentable square feet and are located in 31 states and the District of Columbia. Most of our properties have been continuously occupied by government tenants since the properties were first acquired, developed or redeveloped.
