Training Assistant/Student Worker (Former Employee), Grambling, LA – July 19, 2013
A typical day would vary on the occasion, I learn to have patience when working with workers that required special attention. My co-workers vary from day to day, having different moods to bring to the place of work daily. The hardest part would have to be filling in for individuals when they were suppose to be there but didn't show up because of events – more... going on around campus such as Spring Fest or Homecoming. The most enjoyable part would have to be seeing the student you helped succeed through there time at Grambling State University – less

The view at this employer is nothing can be changed. If there is anything they will focus on why it cannot be done and crush the idea rather than try something new.
No opportunity will be given to advance yourself here. While they tell you they will train you, most training is poor, outdated and withheld. Numerous times I have asked to be trained only – more... to be told they would hold a seminar in the future. If the training ever happens, (and often it does not) the presenter was a poorly qualified person from within the university who did not know as much as most of the people in the room.
New ideas are not wanted particilarly if they make you work better, faster and more effectively. What is valued here is mediocraty and status quo. If you like to be second rate you will be celebrated because people who excell are not valued here as anything but trouble – less
