The Ford Fieldhouse is a large – more... and intricate part of the College providing service to many diverse segments within our internal and external customer base. As part of its operating purpose, the staff of the Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse attempt to provide the students and staff of Grand Rapids Community College, along with members of our community the opportunity to improve the overall quality of their life by providing the facilities and space for structured as well as unstructured physical activity, which is known to improve the quality of life. Also to provide the members of the community with the prospect of having a partnership and positive relationship with the College, thereby fostering future good will and positive support from the community in which we live and work. We are committed to the principle that no one entity can function well by itself. It is through corroboration, the building of partnerships and team building that we, and the entire College become stronger. When engaging with and interacting with our many various customer groups, we along with the College subscribe to certain values. We always make every attempt to be responsive to the needs of our customer groups. It is expected that all affairs will be conducted with the highest standards of accountability, both to the organization and to the individuals with whom we work and serve. It is important that we remain innovative in thinking as well as actions, and that this innovation is visible to all as we do our work. It is our belief that our service groups are wide range and diverse. Therefore, our approach needs to be diverse and needs to accommodate individuals from many backgrounds. Excellence is paramount in all that we do. Our services and/or products need to be the best available. Those having contact with the Ford Fieldhouse need to feel they are receiving the best available service or product by staff who really do care. While conducting affairs, all persons are treated with the highest respect, regardless of the situation. Respect is given and expected in return. Service to our students, staff, and community is also highly valued by the Ford Fieldhouse operating staff. Customer service is pinnacle to all that we do. This report is compiled to provide the reader and all interested parties with a snap shot view of the scope of activities that take place within the Ford Fieldhouse or supported by its operations during the course of one fiscal year.
