Childbirth is an experience of wellness and constitutes a time of physical, emotional and social change. It provides an opportunity to grow and develop; it is not an illness.
We recognize that stressful situations can occur during pregnancy and the birth of a new baby. At-risk births are potentially traumatic for the family involved. We will provide the support needed on an individual basis as we seek to minimize the potential trauma through a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach.
