PART-TIME TEMP. SYSTEMS ANALYST TRAINEE
Since 1905, Greenville Utilities has been an integral part of Greenville-Pitt County, growing and progressing along with our expanding service area. GUC provides electric, water, sewer and natural gas services to the City of Greenville and 75% of Pitt County. We serve a combined total of more than 135,800 customer connections. Greenville Utilities is owned by the citizens of Greenville but operates under a separate charter issued by the N.C. General Assembly.
Position available in Greenville Utilities information Technology Department for a Part-time Systems Analyst (up to 25 hrs. per week) Intern to work on a wide range of technical tasks. Position will work with Application Development team members to rapidly deliver applications, application enhancements, and general technical solutions. Candidates should already possess base software development skills and be knowledgeable in at least one high level object oriented programming language. Ideal candidate should have demonstrable history of quickly adapting to changing technologies and user requirements. Preferred skill set include: HTML, CSS, MVC, Objective-C, jQuery/jQuery Mobile, Middleware, SQL, Linux, Agile, .NET, MS SharePoint. Preferred education is a BS in Computer Science, but we will consider persons who have a minimum of 2 years of significant work towards the BS degree or an AAS degree in an applicable field of study.
