Working at Greyhound requires that you must be able to multitask and be able to work on your own make quick decisions that both follow Greyhound policy and keep customers happy you also must have patience and willingness to learn about other departments in order to help fellow co-workers out when need be

Look this is the real about Greyhound if you like not spending time with your family or girlfriend and working 7 days a week, than this is your job cause it will consume your life and well being. You are gauranteed not to have weekends off no cookouts. So please look for another job especially if you have a CDL. Don't come to Greyhound please....Not worth it at all.....Do the city bus and get paid more and be home.

some drawbacks like the dispatch system

may drive 9.5 hrs a day, take ticketsload passengers take to their various locations. the hardest part is dealing with the passengers, the culture is not bad, there really is not much time to interact with other drivers as everyone is on the move daily, the most enjoyable part is driving, it can be a fun place to work, there a lot of drawbacks like the dispatch system.

with greyhound for 21 years it was a wonderful experience it was a learning experience dealing with all types of people from all over the world. I became lead customer service after 3 years. I was in charge of 5 to 7 employees daily and responsible for large sums of money

If you have no customer service skills Greyhound is the place to be. You deal with all races and have to be able to handle any situation that come to you. But I loved working there, just the pay should have been more!

dealing with a lot of people, self control pations understanding how you deal with different people and there culture, putting up with the way some people act towards you when you try to explain the rule of the company and the federal government, the face of some people as they see some of the different citys for the first time different people from other countrys as they see different citys.all stations have driver rooms for the drivers some have domes all have tvs and loungeing areas.

Greyhound is a fun place to work but the pay is not worth it. Greyhound doesn't care about it's employee's, no room for any advancement. May annual raise was for 8cents, not a typo it was literally 8 cent.

It was a very fast paced environment at times. Rushes came in and as a ticket sales person the lines had to be worked in a timely fashion in order for the passengers to catch their buses.

Greyhound lines Inc is not the best company to work for The terminal (6856) has been in the worst condition since sold from Laid-law.. Not a good company anymore. Passengers do not matter. Only thing matters is the money they bring in.. Poor Customer Service Standards.

The company hires individuals who have no idea how to operate a transportation company. All management does is flex power and attempt to babysit hourly employees. Such a great feeling to not be apart of that jungle anymore. You work outside in the heat with no water except what is inside of the terminal and when you complain you are told, by the manager, it isn't the manager's job to supply water. Really? The most enjoyable part of the job is going home at the end of your shift.

When you first start, you're on the extra board. No regular days off. You may work mor Inge, afternoons and nights, because you don't have a regular run. If there's not enough work you can be sent to different states, to work,anywhere from a few days to a few months. Workplace culture quiet. Hardest part is keeping track of your hours for DOT. The most enjoyable part was meeting people.

rude managers, low pay, not good trainers, marisal was the rudest manager, and she always had an excuse for her bad behavior. The other African American manager was keeping the drugs that where been confiscated by security. Very stressful when imigration officers where always bringing people to transport.
