The Grimsby Institute Group (GIG) is one of the East Coast's largest providers of Further and Higher education. The group comprises of the Grimsby Institute, University Centre Grimsby (UCG), and Yorkshire Coast College in Scarborough and Lincolnshire Regional College in Skegness.
Our Nuns Corner campus in the centre of Grimsby is the main provider of vocational training in the region. It provides an impressive curriculum spectrum, which encompasses full and part time provision from 14 years onwards, community provision, business training and commercial activities.
The Grimsby campus has two other principal sites; the East Coast School of Art and Design is situated at Westward Ho in Grimsby, home to art and music learners; and the Nunsthorpe Community Campus, home to horticulture, animal care and construction.
We have recently opened our new University Centre Grimsby (UCG), which heralds the dawn of a new era for the Grimsby Institute Group and the region. UCG offers around 100 HE programmes through partnerships with universities including the University of Hull, York St. John University, Huddersfield University and Leeds Metropolitan University.
The Grimsby Institute is also home to the UK National Productivity Centre, the Food Refrigeration and Process Engineering Research Centre (FRPERC) and we are a key partner with industry leaders in the Humber Seafood Institute and Seafood Processing Cluster.
Serving the community in Scarborough and the surrounding region the Yorkshire Coast College (YCC) offers Further Education and Higher Education provision. YCC operates out of two campuses; Westwood Campus, which is home to the Creative School of Arts, and the main campus on Lady Edith's Drive. Both campuses offer excellent teaching and facilities with industry standard facilities.
Located in Skegness is the Lincolnshire Regional College (LRC), which provides a large number of GCSEs and vocational courses. – less–ZoomInfo
