We are seeking a qualified candidate for a Database Administrator with a minimum of 4 years of DBA experience. This is a highly diverse role where you can grow and make a positive difference every day.

Responsibilities:
> Understanding of high-availability, heavily trafficked web-based platforms
> Able to deploy and maintain SQL databases, instances and services to meet application and customer needs
> Deployment of new technologies to properly apply system & data resources to business needs based on a tiered data service model
> Able to lead the upgrade of multiple databases (to 2008/2012) in a planned, well-managed approach
> Maintaining the software as well as the data structure, integrity, performance, capacity, availability, recoverability, and security of the database information
> Demonstrated ability to examine day to day systems processes and recommend improvements
> Capable of trending observations on system and application failures/bottlenecks and recommending approaches to resolve and proactively prevent them
> Supports the daily operations of the database and appropriately applies resources to ensure integrity and uptime/availability of the customer-facing systems
> Must be able to efficiently monitor server and database status
> Act as first point of contact and response for issues related to the application, server or storage related issues
> Manages relationships with vendor technical support resources to resolve problems quickly and restore service in the event of issues
> Implements effective solutions consistent with the size and scope of the business need

Requirements:
> College degree in computer science or equivalent, and 4 years’ experience with Windows SQL Server in a web-based environment
> Knowledge of relevant Microsoft technologies including clustering, load balancing, patching, security, maintenance, backups, integrity, partitioning, tuning, etc…
> Excellent trouble-shooting skills that possess technical breadth and depth
> Comfortable working in a collaborative team structure yet able to work independently
> Strong analytical skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to think strategically and act tactically
> Beneficial: Knowledge of SAN, ETL, T/SQL, SSIS/SSRS, licensing
