Sales Driven Company
Assistant Branch Manager (Former Employee), Glenwood, ILAugust 13, 2014
Pros: overtime
Cons: short breaks, sales driven, poor customer service
I worked for Guaranty Bank in Glenwood and they females there are very petty. They do not take direction well and are VERY nasty. I worked with Ebony and Whitney and they both are very immature. If you go there the only two branches I would suggest are Matteson and Country Club Hills. I feel they have more structure and a bit more organzied and life – more... will be much simple for you other than that the other branches have something major wrong going on interally. – less

Good and Bad
Personal Banker/Bank Supervisor (Current Employee), Glenwood, ILJune 15, 2014
Cons: too focused on sales & no personal life
This job is a great job. You can learn alot from upper management if you put forth the effort. The pay is good and it prepares you for the next step within the company. But they are more focused on sales than customer service. And the hours of operations are so crazy that you cant really have a personal life.

Guaranty Bank
Personal Banker (Current Employee), Milwaukee wiApril 14, 2014
Productive and fast pace environment. A tupical day at work would be me helping customers on a day to day base with there account and running teller transaction. I learn something new every day weather its something about a IRA account etc. My co-workers are fun to be around and we all motivate each other to hit our goals that we have. The part I enjoy – more... the most about my job is the customers. – less

Personal Banker (Current Employee), Milwaukee, WIFebruary 17, 2014
Pros: co workers, great company, customers
Cons: limiatations on sales goals
A typically work day would involve providing excellent customer service to all customers and all general banking needs. I also would create new leads to pursue as future customers. I would follow up with previous leads to provide them with various products that the company offers, that will fit their needs,

Management steals accounts
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Covington Hwy, Lithonia, GAFebruary 1, 2014
Pros: i had to fight tooth and nail to keep my sales, when that fight was successful, my pay was 1600 per month pt, with 400 - 800 in sales bonuses, many opportunities for bonuses if you are creative
Cons: the management steals, politics, i felt like a slave because any workplace concerns i had were swept under the rug by management
I worked for guaranty bank and although corporate seems to be filled with nice warm caring people, working at the branch was a hot mess. The basic teller position was focused on sales and for me that was great. I exceeded all of the company's sales goals but I had just one problem, the supervisors kept putting my sales under their own names. Even though – more... I kept track of my sales and had all of the proper documentation the branch manager refused to address his supervisors. All of the other sales associates were too scared to say something and didn't care if they got their bonus pay or not. But for me the amount of time, planning, and innovation that I placed into my marketing and sales was a lot of and I just couldn't sit there as people took credit for my hard work. Even though corporate notified the branches of proper procedure for walkin customers and placing names on account my branch assistant manager and supervisors just continued to steal. They would never leave from behind the counter however they would make outrageous claims for all of these sales they made. Because of this dishonest culture not only would I never work for them again but I would never bank with them either. – less

fast paced retail sales focus
Assistant Branch Manager (Current Employee), Lake Geneva, WIDecember 26, 2013
I have been with Guaranty Bank since Sept. 2007. I went from being a basic teller to an Assistant manager within that time frame. Over all the company is great. The hardest part of a job is getting the right information at a decent time frame. For simple solutions that corporate does not let us handle at branch level causing some customer service issues. – more... I learned a lot in this company when it came to banking and retail sales, along with coaching and basic cash handling. The most enjoyable part of this job is the customers. I have always kept work and personal seperate and kept to myself with certain issues that I feel most employees lag in this company. – less
