No long term stability.
Principal Designer (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJanuary 8, 2018
Poorly managed work flow. Disconnect between management and production with regard to the revision process. Unrealistic production expectations. Determined effort by project management to cling to cookie-cutter design despite extremely diverse project conditions.
Pros
Pay & Benefits
Cons
Oil & Gas Industry deeply tied to price of oil.

Senior Project Control Specialist (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXOctober 12, 2017
Private company ran by a little circle of old buddies. Nepotism and double standard to an unbelievable extent. There are some good people who are doing everything and others that are there just for a "joy-ride". No raises, no promotions, no courses if you are not one of those close to the inner-circle.
Pros
401K match
Cons
PTO is very limited, long working hours, punching times, no overtime pay

Sr. I&E Designer (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 7, 2017
They will fight to keep you. I've stayed busy, moved from project to project with ease and time to learn the system. I wouldn't be looking anywhere else but it looks like there is no more work here.

n/a (Former Employee) –  Houston, tx.May 18, 2017
The worst place I've worked in 30 years of being in the oil patch. Mid-level managers micro-managed everyone with ego's that would hamper progress. No fresh idea's allow that may enhance projects - same reason as above. Upper management has an "avert you eyes attitude" for any employee not on the 6 th floor. It's a great place for affirmative action hires. Good luck to anyone employed there and watch out for the knives in the back.
Pros
bad coffee
Cons
management, Hr, mid-level supervisiors

Document Control Specialist (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXMarch 19, 2017
Overall I loved working for the company. The compensation was decent and the benefits were pretty good although they did begin raising prices at the beginning of 2016. There were some people that were in upper management that the whole department could have been fine without. But I got along with everybody and loved my job. The only issue was the oil and gas industry took a turn for the worst and I finally was laid off. I would go back though.
Pros
No micromanaging in my department
Cons
Some of the managers in other departments were clueless.

Piping Checker, Project Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXMarch 8, 2017
Great people, willing to work with you on what hours you work. Very good environment to work in. There is a deli on the first floor. Always coffee available. Not far from the interstate, very convenient location.
I have not worked on ACAD for over 10 years. I have either ran a department, at El Paso, or have been involved in checking.
Pros
flexible on work hours.
Cons
Fast pace work environment, long hours sometime.

GIS Lead (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXJanuary 26, 2017
A typical day includes completing multiple complex tasks at a high rate of speed with accuracy. Also, sharing my knowledge to others as well gaining and storing GIS knowledge in all area. My capability to mage workloads of others has a proven track record. An enjoyable workplace for me would be a positive environment surrounded by great people.
