I had a few years at Gulfstream but during my last six years I was on a domestic sales team of worldwide sales. Each team had a VP, 3 assistants, and five sales directors. Daily we were in contact with high end customers meeting demands on whatever it took to make a deal. Even though we had many teams, we all worked together as one to make the final – more... deal. Learned that team work is the best effort as no one person could make a sale. Enjoyed meeting the customers and forming long term friendships. Great business with a great focus on its employees and their families

dialy crew meeting to discuss issues with the day shift from the night before or problems and fixes that they may have found. and to get the scope of work we need to accomplish for that evening.

This was my dream job. Once landed, however, it quickly became a nightmare. Management is horrible. Working in the department I was in reminded me of the good 'ole boys club. I have the experience and the skills to perform my job, but at the rate these aircraft are thrown together didn't sit well with me. Management is micromanaged. The slightest thing – more... will get your fired. Once that happens, finding another job in the area is slim to none. Don't work here until you don't need the money. The stress and hate from management isn't worth it. – less

Great place to work if you get in the right group.
Security personnel are not very sharp.

Gulfstream is a great place to work. The Brunswick branch has little room for advancment and everything seems to be set in stone with no chance for advancment. Savannah has a higher level of advancement but is also massive and cumbersome. Easy to be overlooked easy to be forgotten about. If you get in with the right rings of people chances for advancement – more... are easy and highly likely and also within a short time span. Have not worked at Gulfstreams other facilities. The management is good all over the board the HR department is extremely strong. Work life balance is excellent and the benifits are good. – less

Refurbishment of aircraft interiors.Removing and reinstalling of aircraft interior components repairing of broken panels.Management was good.Good coworkers.Working in cramped areas and under tight deadlines.Seeing finished product and test flights.

Enjoyed the technical challenges and specially working closely with the customer and delivering to his expectations. Non supportive management made my stay there impossible.

Work as a composite structural mechanic on large cabin aircraft for gulfstream areospace work performed on the G5 pylon assembly. counter sink, drill, inspect parts and final assembly

The Gulfstream co-workers were friendly, and the security function was great.

It was great to learn a new aircraft. The work was enjoyable and always looked forward to working there. I was employed by Aerotek to work at Gulfstream for retro-fit of the new aircraft G650.

Gulfstream Aerospace is a great company with an exciting work environment. The company manufactured the world's most technologically-advanced business jet.
As the Administrative Associate III, for the Materials and Logistics department I had three managers to support and 250 warehouse employees that I coordinated training, procured departmental supplies, – more... and planned employee recognition, luncheons, etc. I monitored the secondary administrative support, coordinating the upward flow of information. I produced weekly/monthly “health” of the business reports, and was responsible for departmental budget reconcilement. I also produced and edited the department newsletter. – less

Coworkers are great, willing to help when needed.
Plenty of training. Good pay and benefits. Management does not understand or care what technicians must do to accomplish their conflicting demands.

I have an oportunity to retire so I took it, but now I realized that its to early for me to retire. Other wise its a fun and family oriented company and everyone is respected with honor and dignity

I loved working there because the people were friendly and the environment was very fun. I had a great time working with my co-workers and managers until they went out of business.

Excellent company to work for, chief inspector discriminator as well as other leadership team members. Management team does not accept responsibility for expired work that was behind prior to new hire in positions. a lot of insecure management team. they don't have college education or formal training and view woman of color as a threat who is educated – more... experienced with skills. – less

LONG WITH LITTLE WORK.
LEARNED A LOT ABOUT THE AIRCRAFT AND MANY DIFFERENT SYSTEMS.
LAST MIN GUYS TELL YOU EVERY THING AT LAST MIN LIKE EVERYONE HAS TO WORK OT FOR THR WEEKEND.

GETTING OFF

Work with avionics and electrical shop on difficult issues. Configure comm systems for outside checks. Report drawing errors to engineering. Test new products. Prepare aircraft for STC testing when needed.
I learned to get vendor support early because everthing is not written on the drawings to make a system operational.
My coworkers were a wealth of – more... information and could share my unique knowledge with them.
The hardest part of the job was meeting suspenses when some systems were new and there was not a lot of time to work out the issues.
An enjoyable part of the job was learning better ways to prepare
checklist of information that could be shared with coworkers to share the workload and enable them to know what you know. An on time delivery is a pleasurable experience to our customers. – less
