Refunds Specialist (Former Employee), Houston, TX – March 15, 2014
Pros: rumors that the company was going under
Cons: healthcare which is needed in all communities.
My typical day at work was to refund employers and patients their money back due to over payments. I learned many things at this job. My co-workers were great. The hardest part of my job was to keep up with the quota everyday and refund all of the accounts on my list. The most enjoyable part of the job was challenging myself to finish my list and help – more... others finish theirs because we had a bonus every quarter for meeting our goal. – less

Daily work load manageable. Learned about the supply chain portion of nursing. Hospital staff resistant to changes. Management had worked with previous person in position for many years. Training hard to schedule. Learning about new technology and materials available.
Controller (Former Employee), Derry, NH – February 21, 2014
Pros: great co-workers
Cons: senior management
Parkland Medical Center is a very small facility owned by HCA Healthcare a public company. The management at the facility level is very inexperienced and the manner in which employees are treated is very disrespectful. While the employees are great it is almost impossible to work collaboratively with management. I would not recommend this employer.
ER Registrar (Former Employee), Houston, TX – February 11, 2014
I highly enjoyed my time working for this company. They offered great benefits and a wonderful work atmosphere. The work environment is set in an ever changing world of medicine so there was never a dull moment.
