Calm and comfortable work environment
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) – North Richland Hills, TX – July 16, 2016
The most enjoyable part of the job are the residents and co-workers. The only complaint I have is the very low and degrading pay. As a CNA, we are literally the backbones and the most hands on with residents/patients. We are literally a friend, confidant, companion, and care giver in every way along with other major responsibilities. The work load simply does not match the pay rate. I have been a CNA for many years and It is really a shame how much these long-term care, home health, private pay, and assisted living companies are paying their CNA's. I honestly feel like a CNA shouldn't have to be certified and the profession certainly shouldn't be considered a career because there is no way a grown person who's trying to live normal and comfortable can make it on $10, $11, $12. Its just really sad.
