We are looking for an outstanding iOS engineer: someone with a deep interest in Objective C & iOS development. This resource will advance our iOS expertise by designing, implementing and testing mobile applications for the online photo merchandising market. We need a top tier developer who brings not only a deep understanding of iOS but is grounded with a solid theoretical foundation in computer science with a broad knowledge of algorithms, data structures & concurrency.
While collaboration and being a team player is a key to success in this role, this resource will spend the bulk of their time autonomously developing applications. There will be an emphasis on apps that recreate existing web experiences.
Collaborate with the Product Manager, Designers, Engineers, Technical Writers & QA.
Develop & own the UI and application logic for an application in the photo merchandising market.
As a developer, assist with estimating, planning, executing and monitoring quality of the project.
Advocate for the best practices in mobile programming, how best to leverage native capabilities, recommend process improvements and toolsets to make developers more effective and efficient.
Leverage platform specific frameworks where needed.
Perform quality reviews on code.
1-5 years of development experience.
Mastery of object oriented programming & design patterns.
Proficient in Objective C. Have good knowledge of core areas of iOS programming such as memory management and asynchronous programming.
Experience with web architectures and familiarity with databases.
Experience with REST/JSON/XML.
Energetic, inspired, dedicated, passionate about software development.
Ability and willingness to learn the existing system quickly and with little top down management.
A great team player, sociable, with excellent communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
