During the 3 years I worked for HP, I enjoyed many opportunities for personal and professional growth while meeting a ton of amazing people. While the department I worked for has been moved overseas due to corporate restructuring, I have many fantastic memories from my time there and would be happy to work for them again.
A typical day was very busy; strong time-management skills were a must. The local leadership was not afraid to offer challenging assignments and expected nothing but the best. However, high-performers were lavishly rewarded for their efforts and I always felt valued as both a person and an employee.
The local leadership at the center I worked for was always incredibly active and supportive. My co-workers were amazing and the environment consistently felt very much like a family. I wish that the center were still around, and wish the company nothing but the best in the future.
The primary issues I observed during my time with the company involved poor leadership and guidance of the corporate culture at a higher level than our individual center, along with issues related to a lack of effective strategic vision.
Performance-based culture, great people, feeling of being needed
Vague mission, generic values, some issues with corporate-level leadership and lack of efffective strategic vision
