As a Buyer / Planner, you will support a dynamic corporate and manufacturing environment. You will interact directly with vendors, marketing, engineering, finance, and production staff to assist driving opportunities forward. This position demands versatility, assertiveness, excellent time management, phone communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, small and driven team environment.
Basic Purchasing Functions
Ability to understand BOM
Ability to load BOM in ERP systems
Ability to negotiate with vendors pricing, leadtimes, terms
Ability to negotiate with vendors consigned inventory, KAN BAN, etc
Ability to place orders according to system demand
Ability to follow-up on vendor status and delivery dates
Ability to manage inventory from vendor to manufacturing facility on a timely basis
Understand managing vendors, and working with purchasing to expedite materials
Buyer / Planner Functions:
Assist corporate and technical team in managing project launches
Proactive management of vendors and service providers to assure optimal performance;
Support finance initiate to establish terms with vendors and service providers to minimize procurement costs;
Recommend and Support various cost savings projects, and ways to improve customer service;

Requirements
Minimum 5 years manufacturing background with purchasing experience
