Housekeeper/Breakfast (Former Employee), Woodbridge, VA – February 22, 2014
Pros: great co workers
Cons: some workdays were short
I loved waking up in the morning to know I was going to have a great day. Working at Hampton Inn showed me that I could excel at anything if I put my heart in it. I got moved to three different departments, and conquered everyone. In each department I met a new friend everytime. It was a warm and friendly environment that anybody would love. I had the – more... best co workers, they showed me hospitality on my first day like I was always there. It really wasn't nothing hard about the jobs at all to me. The way I look at it is...you get what you put out. Meaning if you put your heart and soul into something then you will love it and it will work for you. But on the other hand, if you put little or no effort into something then don't expect much. I enjoyed walking into Hampton Inn because I knew I was coming to work with loving people daily. – less
Assistant General Manager (Current Employee), Lake Park, GA – September 20, 2014
Franchise owned. It needs a big fix up! The owner needs to let loss his expectations if he does not invest into his property. Co-workers are wonderful but the hardest part is having them listen and full fill duties.
House Keeper (Former Employee), Saint Louis MO – September 12, 2014
Pros: recieving tips
Cons: hard work
I would have to clean 17 to 20 rooms per day I learned that I must keep supplies stocked up on my cart Management would check behind all my rooms A lot of competition between co-workers for employee of the month Hardest part is completing 17 to 20 rooms in a timely manner I enjoyed when guest left me tips
Room Attendant (Current Employee), Waco, Tx – September 10, 2014
some days are hectic other days slow. full time but never get my full 8 hours a day. When i try to get my 8 i get sent home. Management are laid back. My co workers are fun. most enjoyable part of my job is when they do things for the employees to show appreciation
Great place to stay and work, they were just experiencing management issues
Housekeeper (Former Employee), Cañon City, CO – September 10, 2014
Pros: sometimes free breakfast, discounted stays
Cons: they just did't have stability of a good manager and it made the whole place unstable
A typical day at work at the Hampton was ALOT of rooms to clean and quickly, but I always got the job done and on time. I learned that A good team leader in all departments is very essential for the prosperity of the company as a whole. Management is the backbone of the whole and thier passion and confidence shows through the employees and the work – more... that that they do.The hardest part of the job is that it's hard work of course, but it's not having reliable employees to show up to work, and other employees having to constantly pick up the slack. The most enjoyable part of the job was I really liked the other employees and management that i worked with. They were great people that treated us good and that just improved my intentions of wanting to do a good job. – less

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Augusta, GA – September 8, 2014
I enjoyed working at the Hampton Inn. The reason I enjoyed it was being able to assist the customers as well as the family atmosphere. Management, or the lack there of, was what made it a horrible experience.
