I had the pleasure of greeting guests as they arrive at the hotel, worked with money transactions and cash handling, checking guests in and out of rooms, making key packets, making sure hotel stays nice and clean, folding and putting away laundry when laundry attendant had days off. Running the night audit on third shift. I worked all three shifts here.

My typical hours were from 5:30a.m.-11:30a.m. I prepared breakfast for the hotel guests' and made sure they felt as if they were at a place they could call a "home away from home." I worked alone for the most part so I was not able to engage with any co-workers. The facility is wonderful and still sort of new I was able to sell out the hotel when permitted. It practically sold itself once introduced and experienced.

The most enjoyable and hardest part of the job is the consent contact with guests. Having to fix both small and large problems, answer phone lines while assiting other guest and ensure that every guest had what they needed.

I loved working here, great oppurtunites for advancement, good benefits. Its a wide friendly environment, managers, co-workers, etc.. are friendly and helpful.

Management and Staff great people to work with. Some days there were pretty easy going and then some days were very busy.

Everyone that works there is very nice. The manager is a great guy. The only downside to working at any hotel are people who come in and are nasty to you because they've been on the road all day and are cranky. This hotel has a lot of regular business people who stay there which is very nice.

I was front desk manager for the Hampton, I greeted and helped customers on a day to day basis. The manger is a very professional yet all around great person. Some of my duties was, reservations, dropping deposits into the vault and making sure all customers were treated in a professional manner. There was no hard part to this job. The work was a steady beat job. There was no sitting down, you were constantly moving, from the time you got in until you went home.

Very demanding job requires you to be customer focused even when they are unreasonable. Management likes to play favorites. Flexible schedule.

A typical day at work involved helping hundreds of people, answering constantly ringing phones,working with cpu's, and filing paperwork. You also had to attend to managing a cash drawer, organizing snacks that are given to guests with memberships. You had to keep organization of the stockroom and front desk. Dressed in professional attire, expect a – more... full eight hours, with no lunch breaks. Many hotels don't allow their front desk agents to sit either, so stretch those legs! Free food is always a plus however whether breakfast, evening service, or dessert! Some hotels offer paid time off, but others don't. Overall I learned to be an independent, self-sufficient employee running the hotel for a majority of the day by myself. – less

A typical day at Hampton Inn is assisting guests in making reservations by phone, fax, and email requests. Handling check outs and provide receipts by email/in person. Handling the cash drawer, daily deposits and authorized credit cards for incoming reservations. Handling customer complaints and address accordingly. I have learned a lot while working – more... at Hampton Inn in being able to multitask. Management is very hands on with every aspect of the job. I get along with all my co workers and we all work as team in meeting guests needs and concerns is our number one priority. The hardest part of my job is when extended stay guests that I have developed close friendships with check out. The most exciting part of my job is interacting with the guests and meeting new people each day. No day is the same and I never know what to expect in dealing with each situation. – less

Here, I worked night audit where I did audit. I had to match the register with the cash that audit showed. I also had to sell the six flags adventure tickets. The hotel was located near New Jersey Turnpike so I was very busy during the night. I made sure that the hotel was secure at all times. At times I had the register over or short and I fixed it.

Hampton Inn & Suites is very laid back but professional place to work. I really loved the owners and management. I worked the front desk answering phone calls, making reservations, and answering guest questions and complaints. The hardest part about the job wast how far i had to drive and the most enjoyable was my management.

We have a phenomenal manager. I think she has great communication skills and is a wonderful listener to problems within the staff that may occur. Overall, she is great. I've learned a lot with accounts receivable, accounts payable, management, etc. My co-workers are great as well, everyone is very friendly.
