(1) Position to be filled at the Electronic Banking Specialist I or II level.

Electronic Banking Specialist I Summary:

The position of Electronic Banking Specialist I is responsible for performing routine background operational duties of the Internet Banking Department; provides a full range of professional, technical and general support to customers and Bank personnel; resolves problems with given authority.

Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Provides support to all areas of the department as directed or where service or assistance is needed; demonstrates superior customer service with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.

2.Provides a full range of professional, technical and general support to customers and Bank personnel; assists customers with related requirements such as browser or security settings and overall product usage; handles routine inquiries and answers questions; provides step by step technical instruction and support via telephone, e-mail or in person; responds to customer inquiries or complaints and forwards messages as appropriate; trouble shoots and resolves problems within given authority.

  • Reset locked users/passwords
  • Assist and/or reset Telebanc passwords
  • Provide Bill Pay support
  • Electronic Banking requests via Track It – monitors and assign to a team member to be completed in a timely manner.
  • Review documents for accuracy prior to scanning
  • Review scanned files

3.Conducts routine daily maintenance of Internet banking and bill payment systems; reviews various reports, logs and compares data to verify transactions, and detect and report unusual or suspicious activity with pertinent information.

4.Takes ownership of the implementation process and coordinates all aspects of customer preparedness for product usage; accurately performs customer setups on the system; makes changes to existing customer setups; prepares contracts and necessary documentation for customer signature; originates and maintains customer files; enters customer information into various computer programs; follows up on missing information or documentation; conducts daily callback of maintenance reports.

  • Set up monthly recurring fees for ACH Origination, Positive Pay, QuickBooks, Remote Deposit Capture & Wire Origination
  • Maintains registers of Cash Management Customers which include ACH, Remote Deposit Capture, and Wire Origination.
  • Record, file, prepare documents for scanning, update information and sort mail or reports as required.

5.Maintains a proficient knowledge of all applicable banking rules and regulations.

6.Assists in special projects and tasks for the department as directed.

7.Operates computer terminal or personal computer to process account activity, determine balances and resolve problems within given authority.

8.Answers telephones, answers questions and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.

9.Assists other departments as needed.

Essential Education, Skills and Experience (Required):

  • High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) months related experience
  • Ability to communicate well with others
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately, set schedules and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word and Outlook

Nonessential Education, Skills and Experience (Preferred):

  • Associates degree in a related field or equivalent general banking experience

  • Resolves issues Benchmark; order scanning equipment for Remote Deposit Capture

and arrange repairs

  • Review documents for accuracy prior to scanning

8.Assists in special projects and tasks for the department as directed.

11.Assumes responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations.
