Hard work and determination define the driving force behind the foundation of Hamrick's, Incorporated. From Gaffney, South Carolina's first location to nineteen cities in four states, the pace was set for expansion, innovation and action on the retail scene.
Company roots date back to 1945, when Oliver and Edna Hamrick purchased a small neighborhood grocery and general merchandise store and soon afterwards began buying and selling closeout fabrics from area mills.
From the beginning venture, Oliver Hamrick developed a large wholesale business and by the late 50's, Hamrick's was selling fabrics to other "Mom and Pop" stores across the Southeast. The early 60's marked additional growth for the company. Closeout garments and piece goods from area manufacturers were bought and sold in the Hamrick's retail store.
1978 marked the retail division expansion, and today Hamrick's operates twenty retail stores in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. A full buying staff frequents major fashion markets to secure the best buys at affordable prices, providing a wide range of vendor fashions and accessories for the entire family.
Over the past 50 years, determination and a desire for achievement, backed by hard work and innovation, have developed Hamrick's into a retail force consisting of over 880,000 square feet of retail space. Exciting plans for new concepts, expansions, and further development continue to play a major role in the future of this company with such a "history of success".
Hamrick's looks forward to serving our online shoppers with the same quality of merchandise and service that has been provided in our retail stores for over 50 years. – less–ZoomInfo
