Never the same thing always a new challenge
Owner/Operator Handyman (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZJune 21, 2012
Pros: feelings of accomplishments and creating customer happiness when jobs are completed correctly
Cons: running into unforseen problems.
Typical day starts at 7am getting supplies and tools ready for tasks at hand. On job site by 8:30-9:00 am. I learned that you can almost never predict what your going to run into and that other companies try to get by with fixing things half assed. You have to be ready for the unexpected when doing handyman type work.

Enjoyable Working for Myself
Handyman (Former Employee), WYJune 1, 2012
Pros: working for myself
Cons: no benifets at all. mas amount of paperwork
A typical day
No day was typical, One day I could be digging out a septic line the next I could be building a deck for some one. I did so many differant types of jobs that it is hard to narrow it down.

I did learn on how comunicate with all types of people and keep an open mind to the costemers needs and wants

Management. as far as the work part was – more... very good .But as far as the heavy paper work, it was to much for myself. (honestly speeking) Just could not keep up and work also. That is why I am no longer doing it.

Co-Workers . Love working with myself

The hardest part of the job was keeping the work steady and keeping the paperwork at the same time.

The best part of the job was after the job was complete The cliants 90% of the time would would be very pleased with what I had done, and alot of times would hire me for other jobs. I think the best part was going by some place I had worked on and improved, and thinking I did that. – less
