great co-workers
Product Analyst (Former Employee), Windsor, CTDecember 5, 2014
great co-workers but systems were antiquated and manual workaround processes are the normal. Co-workers very helpful. Management out of touch with employees workload and expectations. Very sneaky environment. Managers expectations most times are way to high for the amount of work.

Pros: lots of benefits
It was a very fast paced job. Everything has a time set to the task at hand. A lot of multitasking. Every task was inventoried per day to get a production score on a monthly basis. I enjoyed my job very much. I like to be very busy. My co- workers were a great group to work with. We were all team players.

Technical Employee (Former Employee), Worcester, MAJuly 18, 2014
Pros: non management people are great
Cons: high stress, crazy deadlines, ridiculous expectations.
Was a nice place to work in earlier times. The company has become way too focused on profits. CEO brags about commitment to the local community while jobs are outsourced to India.

Good Pay, but prefer the job security of a bigger company
Claims Adjuster (Former Employee), Richmond, VAApril 15, 2014
Pros: co-workers, lots of free company outings and lunches
Cons: no incentive for hard work, not much advancement
The pay was adequate, and I enjoyed the social and planned events that the office allowed us to engage in, which made an extremely stressed work environment, a little less stressful. However, going from working at a big insurance company to a much smaller one, was definitely noticeable when staffing became an issue.

Okay place to work, but alot of lay-offs and out sourcing.
Mail Room Clerk (Former Employee), Worcester, MAOctober 16, 2013
Pros: paid holidays, hosted company baseball games, and concerts.
Cons: lots of lay-offs, and out sourcing. so you didn't know how long you still had a job.
It is an okay place to work. Work was not very hard to do, but had to be done timely. Management was okay, but played some favoritism. Some co-workers were awesome, and some were not as friendly. I learned how to get jobs done timely and efficiently the best of my ability. The most enjoyable part was being close friends with the Cafeteria Manager, Chef, and Catering people.

Great coworkers, not so great management
Adjuster (Current Employee), nySeptember 9, 2013
Pros: co workers are great
Cons: unrealistic workload, management
I personally believe it is the managers job here to sit around and make things more complicated. The easiest way for this company to function more efficiently is to hire more staff and get the managers in the claims. Instead they pick different things to focus on in their daily meetings and harrass their staff until their breaking point has been reached. We are set with unrealistic workload and held accountable when its not met. Its ridiculous. This company has a revolving door in place so if you cant do it, someone else will be hired for less money to do it for awhile instead. Not a great way to keep up employee morale.

Great place to learn and grow.
Service Specialist (Former Employee), Worcester, MAAugust 15, 2013
Pros: great benefits and a great parking garage during inclement weather.
Cons: outsourcing, seeing american workers jobs being outsourced.
As a Service Specialist, I was required to work with many different companies to insure that their workers compensation claims were filed accurately. Learnt many different database applications and completed driver's records for moving violations. Management was employee friendly and required education for growth within the company. Co-workers were a pleasure to work with because they understood teamwork at its best. Hardest part of the job was when I volunteered for Hurrican Katrina and had to help insured obtain benefits so desperately needed. The best part of the day was when the job completed was acknowledged by supervisors and co-workers.
