Fun Place to work, exciting and fullfilling.
Server (Current Employee), Orlando, FLSeptember 17, 2012
Pros: discount on food and shop. flexible schedule
In the areas you are schedule to work, there's always something different to talk about. Memorabilia makes everything more interesting and get the customers excited. You learn a lot about different cultures and serve different types of people all day. Managers are always there to help and answer questions. Team work is essential for the job, everybody – more... contributes in a different aspect during the shift. Hardest part of the job... training! The training is intense but there's no other way to get the job done if you can't deal with training. The most enjoyable part is that you can be yourself and have fun. – less

Legendary Rock and Roll
Hostess (Former Employee), Denmark, SCApril 27, 2012
Pros: free dinner, great healthcare
Cons: no breaks
I would go straight to my hostess stand. Make sure everything was clean and properly presented. Made sure our guests were happy and had everything they needed. Told them about our memorabilia.
I would wash all the drink and dinner menus by the end of the night.

I leared to work hard, be patient and found out what great customer service is and what – more... it means to a restaurant.

My co-workers were often had a lot of personal drama going on, but besides from that we all got a long quite well.

The hardest part was when we had a 3 hours waiting list and celebrities and Hard Rock members would walk in - they would have priority seating, which led to some very unhappy guests in the waiting line which we couldn't do much about since they do not give out free drinks etc. – less

Bartender (Former Employee), Honolulu, HIJanuary 25, 2012
Some policies & procedures were uncommon, but in the BIG PICTURE OF THINGS, it made me a more refined & overall, a more POLISHED Bartender. I use to have to take 16 Pour Tests a day (8 left & 8 right) From 1/4oz to 2oz! But now, I have a GREAT POUR, and I'm thankful for that

Hard Rockers
Server (Former Employee), Dubai, DUJanuary 5, 2014
Pros: on double shifts only
Cons: very long hours
I have to say that my one year contract at Hard Rock Café was definitely rocking. We had three shifts daily and depending on the shift, it was always busy at night. During the day it was slow, everybody is at work but at night rocking. I have become a professional server in this field, where I had to work with many different cultures and had to learn – more... from them and how to work with them. Management was very laid back, did not make big deals over something small. The proper work had to get done though but they left us to do our job, they did not breathe down our necks every 5 minutes. Some of my co-workers had very little experience in this field and sometimes came to ask for help, but they were very good team workers, never complained to help others. The hardest part of my job was that the Café was always busy, especially at night, we ran all night to please our guests and at the end of the night, I was drained of all the running. The nicest part of my job was the atmosphere of the Café, guests came in and enjoyed the night with the live band and I felt proud serving them and working there as a Hard Rocker. We had all these pins on our uniforms and lanyards around our necks, guests will ask us what the pins are for. And I was proud to say that I received my pins for hard and good work during the months of working for Hard Rock Café. And I was proud to be a Hard Rocker... – less

my experiance
waiter (Former Employee), puerto vallarta, jaliscoAugust 7, 2013
Pros: learned how to make alcohol beverages, resturant was right in front of beach, great co-workers, and live rock music
Cons: worked extreamly long hours sometimes without breaks, got paid in pesos
on a typical day at the hard rock café was always unpredictable, sometimes it would be very busy, and sometimes slow, but what ever happened it was always fun to be around my co-workers. One of the hardest this I had to learn was to hold three beverages in one hand and learn how to hold three plats at once with out the a trey. The most enjoyable part – more... of the hard rock café was the live band they had and the ladies night event they had every Wednesday it was always busy and the environment was fast, happy, and exciting.. – less

Operations Manager (Current Employee), Koregaon Park PuneMay 26, 2013
Pros: promotion
Cons: transfer to mumbai
Now I have got a promotion as an Assistant General manager at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai outlet( in Andheri).I seek a career growth in my own city (Pune) hence searching for high profile job here.

I have gained tremendous work experience after performing as a hard core Operations manager.I get along well with my colleagues and never complain neither do – more... I give a chance to my superiors to complain. The saddest part of my job is that I've got a transfer to Mumbai though with a promotion!

I enjoy every bit of my work as WORK IS WORSHIP for me. – less
