Typical day was network administration and hardware configuration. My coworkers were very good and an enjoyable part of this job. The management changed quite often and seemed to disrupt the work and flow. The hardest part of the job for me was dealing with the large corporate culture.
Support department is great for job security, but not advancement.

Blaming it on the economic downturn, the support department has been overworked and understaffed for the last couple of years. The pressure has been increasing to an unreasonable level, and with the lack of compensation, employee morale has plummeted.
