About Harman Music Group

For nearly as long as modern music has been created and recorded, Harman Music Group, a Harman International Company (NYSE-HAR) has been designing, engineering, and building the tools capable of enhancing every musician’s creativity and performance.

In modern music, achieving the perfect guitar tones is just as much an art as writing the music
 – more... itself. Designing the equipment necessary to shape the sound is almost as much a part of the music as the musicians. Twenty six years ago a native Salt Lake musician realized the demand for just such equipment. He teamed up with an electronics engineer and started a company to provide musicians the means of adding a variety of tone and color to their performances, both live and in the studio. It was this partnership that eventually led to the audio signal processing giant known as the Harman Music Group (HMG).

As the company’s momentum increased, so did the product line, and with the new product lines came the world’s first programmable multi-effect processor employing digital electronics. Since then, HMG has become the industry leader with affordable and innovative effect systems for every musician and every type of music. Harman Music Group now manufactures some of the most prestigious brand names in the music industry including: dbx, DOD, DigiTech, and Lexicon Prolification.

The equipment that HMG manufactures is helping to shape the face of the music we all listen to. Every time you turn on the radio, listen to a CD, or hear a jingle on TV, chances are pretty good that you are hearing at least one piece of equipment manufactured by HMG. Designing and manufacturing the equipment used in all of these recordings may not be as glamorous as performing the music, but it is equally as important.

Harman Music Group is headquartered in Sandy, Utah, employs over 400 people, ships to countries all over the world, and helps musicians explore the furthest reaches of their imagination. You can be a part of the exciting music industry. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
