Sales Representative (Former Employee) – Long Island, NY – August 8, 2016
Co-workers where super nice most enjoyable part was making the customers feel good about a product they cared about. I learned how to drive sales further typical work day is driving sales as much as you can to make goals.
excellent technical management and financial management
Financial Consultant (Former Employee) – San Jose, CA – May 19, 2016
I went in to help with annual plan, and enjoyed all of it. Very serious and focused staff, with huge technical efforts. I was able to work in many areas, and given great freedom to get the job done. Would love to return.
Hard work and challenging, but never a dull moment
Supply Chain (Current Employee) – San Jose – July 28, 2014
I think Harmonic is good company, but not a great company. They have cutting edge products, but some of the business process lag behind. They hire some really great people, but functional groups do not necessarily work well together because of the silo mentality.
The good things about the place is that you will be compensated fairly; the benefits are good, and you will do meaningful work. The downside is a real lack of demand planning means that there is a ton of fire drills and everything seems ad hoc.
Software Development Engineer (Current Employee) – San Jose, CA – October 26, 2013
slow work, not very challenging, good to learn a lot about video technolgy. management is slow. co workers are great. Its a large company, and that makes it difficult to get things done quick. has a gym, cheap lunch.
Overall good company to work for. Enjoyed my brief stay there
Commodity Specialist (Former Employee) – San Jose, CA – August 21, 2013
Management at Harmonic was fairly good. Most of the team really had a good grasp of the internal business and what was required to be successful. The company did lack in structure and needs to organize itself in a way that reduces overlap and improves efficiency.
Low cost lunches, unlimited vacation
limited systems, inadequate process's, limited work life balance oprions
RMA Coordinator/Material Handler - Service Ops (Former Employee) – San Jose, CA – July 18, 2013
Processing RMA materials to respective factories to repair. Learned to always be pro active. Management is very understanding and can depend on them for help in resolving issues if requested of them. Always worked with my co-workers as a team. The most enjoyable part of the job was the job itself (interaction with other departments and personel).
