I have been working for this company for over two years and it has been nice overall. I have had the pleasure of working with some very nice staff and working with the kids and parents has been a wonderful experience. I wish that the compensation was better. Getting above minimum wage is nice but for the work done we should be getting more but I won't complain because I am always asked to pitch in hours at other sites. Gas mileage is reimburse about 0.40 per mile so it is not bad. The hours take some getting used to (early am and evening pm split shift) but it is, as I said before, better than nothing. I have learned how to time manage and plan ahead better since many activities require some donations from parents and sometimes staff up to two weeks in advance.
I love to be with the kids and work with their parents so that would be the best part. The worst part is when staff don't communicate their concerns with one another or even communicate the schedule with one another. The schedule as stated above is a pain but tolerable.
