We like to think simple and candidates have said it is "quick and easy." The time it takes depends on the exact job and location where you are applying. Our store hire teams review the list of completed applications then reach out for phone screenings on the applications that are a best fit for the job. In person interviews are then scheduled. Candidates that pass the in person interview are given conditional offers and asked to update the application with more information including a background check. This takes 3 to 5 business days to complete. The candidate is then scheduled to begin ! Paper work and training begins the first paid day of employment.

I was supposed to start working but the assistant manager who made the offer called out for some reason and no other manager would do the paperwork to get me started. How hard was it to get me to sign paperwork and watch training videos the first day. Very strange. To get to the first day it took about a week with the interview, background check and drug test. Quick for a grocery chain who goes through the corporate hoops. I really have to question what managers do there however. Apparently they do not cover for each other.
I have had three interviews within 4 weeks and have not been hired. I called to check on my status a week ago and was told by the department head that upper management is making the decision and will contact whomever they choose. I applied for an assistant customer service manager position. What could be taking so long?
I put in a application on a Monday, was called on Tuesday, interviewed on Wednesday, started working the following Wednesday, just had to wait on background check.
Are felons usually not hired even if it's been 20 yrs ago
The necessary background check was given and I was hired pretty quickly because of my great interview.

The process of getting employed is pretty quick. They called me for a brief phone interview then asked me to come in for an in person interview. At that time, they also had me take a oral swab drug test. As far as training is concerned, The amount of time it takes for you to complete your training modules depends on your department. The computer based training is fairly straightforward. It has to be completed on site and you are also paid for this time.
It only took about a week. I applied, was called in for an interview, then was told to start the beginning of the next day.
