Harris Teeter is great place for high school students and college students to start working at. They are flexible when it comes to schedules. They have full-time and part-time associate benefits. It's nice to have friendly co-workers that you can build relationships with. There is never a dull moment.

This company is a great company to work for. friendly cutomers and management team

Most co-workers are nice. In the mornings one of my co-workers said she could "hear the crickets" which is why they cut hours for AM people alot. Management has changed a couple times since I've been there and they are always in the office.

A good place to work just not the career of choice.

The management has extremely high standards. If you are not very hard working and self-motivated, this company may not be for you. It is a pleasure for me to work with a group of genuine caring people with high production levels. If you are a salaried employee, expect to give lots of hours. However, it can be rewarding.

Harris Teeter is a great company to work for and has provided a large amount of training and development to the associates that want to advance their career. Over the ten years I have been with them I am proof that hard work pays off. I started as a cashier and have worked my way up to Co Manager of the store. I enjoyed my time working at Harris Teeter. I would go back to working for the company if given the chance. I learned a lot about good customer skills that keeps customers coming back to our store even if they are more expensive than local competition. A typical day at work involves being to work at 5am and working an 8-9 hour day. I am responsible for pulling trucks, setting the department for a day's business, ordering and inventorying product and managing the other associates in my department. I very much enjoyed working for this company. However due to random long hours and getting married, I decided to enter the pharmaceutical sales.

Nice place to start off in the work force. Friendly, helpful associates and employers. Easy work, and rewarding experiences.

not all to happy the way they think they are better then the workers dept managers talk walk around and will not get much help from them always talking between themselves its a shame upper manager could see just how Lazzy they are but store manager are the good guys just ask them .

Harris Teeter is a very busy grocery that is very diverse in employment and job opportunities. Ive learned a lot in regards to communication and customer satisfaction. was great in corp class but when i got to the store to work the ball got drop no help from the manager are staff all work hard and most where give as little as 5 hour to work each week but on break room wall they post records of great profit fair not in my eyes if u dont get full time dont think u are ever going to get full time work or any benefit – more...  corp managers in fair fax VA all were great but company need to take a Hard long look at what is going on in DElaware for they think they own the stores and dont have to follow any company rules wake up guys – less

Overall, it is a good and friendly place to work. There are some pros and cons about Harris Teeter, but every job has its benefits and disadvantages.

Harris Teeter is a decent company to work for but there is little chance for advancement and the company seems to care more about their profit than about giving employees a chance to grow. there is poor communications between management and the associates.

I refined my customer service skills and I learned how to balance my work life with my school life and blended it all with my social life. I didnt feel like I was at work, while I was at Harris Teeter.

If i was not for moving to texas i honestly wouldve never left the company.

hours are not guarenteed. They don't hire full time so they don't have to give you 40 hrs. No benefits.
