Hartford Hospital, based in Hartford, Connecticut, is an 830-bed, acute/tertiary care teaching hospital located on a 65-acre campus with 45 patient-care and support buildings. Hartford employs 6,000 people, has a medical staff of 828 physicians, a $515 million operating budget, and total net revenues of $370 million. Hartford is one of two centers in Connecticut providing organ transplantation and is a major provider of cardiovascular surgery. It is designated as a Level 1 trauma center and operates the State's only helicopter transport service.
