A fun works place with the people you meet
cashier (Former Employee), Dublin, GA – December 17, 2012
Pros: lunch
Cons: short breaks
I enjoyed working with the people that like to talk and joke and still get the job done. Talking and joking is what makes the time go by on the job. I like working in a place where there is friendly faces and no drama.

Pros: everything was great

This was my very first job and I love communicating with others. There really wasn't a bad part about this job because I was happy about having a job while I was still attending high school.

Growing company, provides excellent experience
Assistant Market Manager (Former Employee), Sandersville, GA – September 19, 2012
Pros: professional environment with good benefits
Cons: pay rate, advancement
Rapidly growing company. Very busy for the area. The company has good benefits but advancement can be difficult and the pay was a bit lackluster. Management was good but stern and strict. Always seemed to be lacking the proper amount of help but everyone worked together to maintain the counter and keep a proper amount of backup. Very fast paced environment. – more... Gained excellent experience and enjoyed the work. – less

Positive surrounding with great co-workers
Clerk (Current Employee), Statesboro, GA – July 10, 2012
Pros: benefits, friendly faces, and hoilday events
A typical day at work consist of clocking in five minutes early and taking over for the morning cashier. The majority of my day is spent providing excellent customer service for the duration of the customer’s visit, which resulted in customer retention. For the past three years of working at Harvey's, there hasn't been any dual moments. The most enjoyable – more... part of working at Harvey's is working around co-workers with different personalities, style, and culture. Everyday is a new challenge but I learn something new about my co-workers, the companies, and how to better my working skills. – less

very unprofessional
Cashier (Former Employee), owen sound ontario – February 26, 2012
Pros: mostly good co workers
Cons: unprofessional managers
the managers and owners need alot of work. They handle things very unprofessional & they look at what you look like and your personal issues instead of how hard you work and how good you are at the job you are doing.

Productive hard working environment with bad communication
Customer Service (Former Employee), Oshawa, ON – May 16, 2013
Pros: 20% dicount on food ordered
Cons: bad management
A typical day at work would be signing in, getting to my station and garnishing or taking a customers order.

I learned good customer service skills

The management at Harvey's has bad communication skills, and does not listen to their employee's input.

Some of my co-workers were friendly and others were not.

The hardest part of the job is finding – more... something to do when there are no customers and there is nothing needing to be done.

The most enjoyable part of work was making new friends and seeing a smile on the customers faces when they were satisfied – less

Terrible Food
Grill master (Former Employee), Bolton, ON – April 16, 2013
Pros: free food sometimes
Cons: bad oil ventilation
I have seen people spit in food, or pick off food from the floor.
The managers are the owners daughters and they treat the whole staff bad. The organization was horribly run and in my opinion needed better management.

Good
Manager (Current Employee), Hamilton, Ontario – March 7, 2013
Pros: free meals for every shift
Cons: short hours and low pay
Come to work and set up prep and tills. I then clean any left over messes and open the store. From there people come and we sere them with quick and quality food. Later in the night we clean up and close down the store counting the tills for the deposit. My employees are helpful and listen to any instruction i may give them. I have learned to work in – more... a team and complete any task given to me. The hardest part of the job is finishing all the prep in the morning but is do-able. Th most enjoyable is dealing with the customers and employees with many different faces you have a great time. – less

Worked hard in a fast-paced environment
Cashier/Garnisher (Former Employee), Smiths Falls, ON – February 13, 2013
Pros: simple tasks, easy to get along with co-workers
Cons: occasional disgruntled customer, low wages
A typical workday consisted of stocking supplies, handling money at the cash register, garnishing burgers, helping out with drive through, and maintaining a clean workplace environment.

The hardest part of the job was keeping customers happy during a lunch rush.

The best part of the job was that almost everything was fairly easy.

a tipical day at harveys
Customer Service Representative, Cashier (Former Employee), Oakville, ON – November 5, 2012
Pros: 50% discount on meal.
Cons: only a half hour break (not paid for)
I would start my day by signing in, witch i was always 15 minutes to early. i would look on the broad to see where i was, and go to my potion. lets say i was drive thru order taker. i would get a head set all set up put it on and do my job, taking orders and dealing with cash. the hardest part about that potion specifically is that the rush hour was – more... so unorganized, you had people yelling at the grill guy.. complete craziness. i worked at a Harvey/Swiss chalet so all the mangers were busy on the Swiss side. The most fun part i would have to say was laughing with guests, and having interactions with others. – less
