Our team has an opening for a Maintenance Inventory Planner. The Maintenance Inventory Planner is responsible for the management of the spares operations for the entire fleet of helicopters.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Organize and maintain a growing parts inventory/department
  • Utilize parts forecasting and historical usage data to plan stock, lead-time orders and negotiate cancellations and/or expedites of parts with OEMs and other suppliers
  • Establish and maintain minimum spares for existing and new bases
  • Obtain quotes, evaluate cost and negotiate final price of spares for the fleet
  • Initiate, process, track and negotiate cost on component overhaul/repairs with vendors
  • Analyze inventory levels and related factors to manage inventory flow
  • Maintain the computer-based inventory tracking system
  • Provide reports to the finance department regularly
  • Conduct analysis to determine root causes and provide solutions in areas concerning maintenance inventory disruptions
  • Establish and maintain supplier relations and partnerships
  • Procure components, equipment and supplies with a high level of reliability in a time critical aircraft operations environment
  • Serve as shipping and receiving person for the department (hands on required)
  • Report on inventory expenditures daily to the Director for budgetary considerations
  • Work with the production team to track and process special tooling for the field crews
  • Comply with Federal Aviation Administration regulations as instructed
  • Some light clerical duties

Helpful qualifications:

  • Experience with supply chain concepts
  • Advanced computer skills, preferably experience using a computer-based inventory tracking system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate level Excel and Word skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced organization within a team atmosphere
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to lift 70 pounds
