The Director of Accounting Services reports to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the company’s executive team. He/she is responsible for managing and directing the financial and accounting activities of the organization’s accounting clientele.
*Management and supervision of all bookkeepers, accounts payable processors and account managers who support the accounting needs of our accounting services clientele.
*Assist in the preparation of the client’s monthly closing as needed.
*Interaction with client personnel to facilitate the monthly closing process.
*Discussion with client personnel to evaluate company financials as needed.
*Provide recommendations to facilitate operational efficiencies and best practices.
*Play a lead role in the sales process of acquiring new accounting clientele.
*Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction.
*Preparation, review and analysis of the company’s financial statements on a timely basis.
*Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and monitoring of company expenses.
*Preparation of the annual budget.
*Prepare analyses of expenses in comparison to budget and prior periods, in conjunction with preparation of financials.
*Preparation of monthly tax filings.
*Establish a training program for the development of the accounting staff.
