I was persuaded into leaving a stable position to assist in starting up a hardware sales business unit. The company was a service based company in the space industry. They had an investor who was located out of state and did not have a clear picture, time period, or any budget for our unit to start making a profit. After a few weeks our team was informed that the service side of the company had been operating in the negative and they wanted our start up unit to support the service employees until they were able to find contracts. I was tasked with setting up our resale tax certificates because they were not set up as a resale company and management had no idea that this was a huge road block. Management eliminated my position after 11 weeks.
