I loved to come to work because I loved what I do. I learned to deal with different situations on the phone but was able to solved them. A typical day includes the research and writing of newsletters, lesson plans, and grant proposal. I also work directly with the community to educate the population about healthy lifestyle behaviors, encourage different agencies and organizations to develop resources for bettering the community, and assist int he facilitation of meetings. there was no set schedule with this job, had to take the most pertinant task at hand and deal with that and work your way down the line. i was able to be my own boss and had to manage time and duties accordingly. i had outstanding co-workers and got along with all of them. the job involved traveling from site to site and dealing with various types of – more... individuals and situations which kept me on my toes =never a dull moment. – less

I got to meet new people, and i helped with distributing health materials. I learned how to communicate efficiently with the public providing good service to those who needed it. Day to day routine includes collecting water samples from Silvermine, Sasco or Norwalk watersheds and Norwalk Beaches. Samples are brought back to the lab and tested for E.coli and Fecal Coliform. High school volunteers are involved and taught sampling and lab techniques. Management is easy to work with and very approachable. The hardest part of this – more... job is locating and approaching some sites. Some are not easily accessible and require some strenuous physical activity to access the water. The most enjoyable part of this job is the constant interaction with volunteers and the community. Educating the importance of water quality monitoring helps the public understand what they can do to improve the quality of their water. – less

It work only as a summer intern, but would not mind working there in the future

Everyone there was nice works that associated with one another. we all learned things and had fun also. Learned different things in the medical field every day. the workplace was awesome.

I got more knowledge about information technology with my colleagues and official staff in this field. Now I consider myself batter than first.
My office colleagues are very co-operator with each other.
There is no hard part in any work. But when a person lost his confidence, then he cannot handle anything with great grip.

computer assistant at Cmo office, 5 day working in a week, work as a management of training in health department

A typical day at work was to check the inventory, stock shelves and to organize new shipments of products.

I learned that inventory is key when it comes to organizing and keeping track of the consumption of different products.

Management was thorough and direct with what needed to be done.

Co-workers were well focused in completing the tasks of the – more... day.

The hardest part of the job was finding missing items when the inventory didn't add up at times.

Enjoyable part of the day was when new shipments came in and a checklist had to be done of what we had received. – less
