This position is primarily responsible for helping the association better utilize and leverage our technology – primarily our membership database and business intelligence needs, hardware and software, networks and servers, and the technology that we use to facilitate our advocacy, benchmarking, education and event services. This person ensures that the HARDI staff and association are effectively using technology to maximize internal effectiveness, service delivery, and optimal member satisfaction.
1. Provides the management of HARDI’s association management software (AMS), Avectra
Ensures the AMS is operational on a daily basis and maintains the integrity of the data and update as needed
Uses business intelligence applications to design and generate reports from a wide range of data sources.
Performs all aspects of database operations and maintenance, including testing of all modifications, security administration, capacity planning, performance tuning, research and evaluation of new tools and techniques, development of policies related to database environment
Design, lead, and manage integrations between AMS and other database and web services
Provide technical support to staff on database issues including creation of custom reports and database analyses
Act as a liaison between the HARDI staff and AMS vendor and any external consultants
2. HARDI hardware/infrastructure/network optimization
Provides hardware, software, copier, printer and peripheral oversight and support to staff members
Liaison with 3rd party technical support services to ensure latest antivirus, patches and fixes to software and hardware
Evaluates and recommends the use or purchase of new tools, hardware, and software
Manages hardware and software inventory, software licenses, equipment warranties
Perform workstation and network maintenance as required
Analyzes software and hardware problems reported by end user and determines best course of action to take to correct problem
Manages and maintains software images for staff hardware configurations
Provides troubleshooting and emergency support for critical applications and systems
Configures and maintains local area and wireless networks within HARDI office, as well as remote network connectivity
Configures and manages network monitoring tools
Provides support for web and ecommerce capabilities and is responsible for optimal functionality of association’s website
3. Serves as a major stakeholder for any HARDI staff and member initiatives that have a technological component
Offers technology perspective and requirements on various initiatives driven by advocacy, benchmarking, networking, education, membership, operations and membership departments.
Prior experience working with Crystal Reports, Access or other data-mining tools
Accredited technical certificate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or related field
Strong Microsoft Office™ skills and knowledge
Proven network experience
Minimum of one year experience in technical support or help desk
Prior experience with an association management software
