A typical day for me at Helix was to prepare the cash and bank deposit for the bank pick up. In addition, I was responsible for processing all walk-in appointments from our customers, distribute mail to staff, and prepare outgoing mail for USPO. I was excepted to keep a very clean environment both at my desk as well as front counter. In the Helix environment I learned to smile and greet customers with a very helpful and positive attitude daily. Most importantly, I learned to NEVER take things personal if an irate customer walked in.
My management team were great. They provided a very comfortable atmosphere for myself and they made talking to them very comfortable and enjoyable. My coworkers were very helpful and we maintained a very professional relationship in our positions because we worked so closely together.
The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to assist customers that had difficulty paying their water bills. It was nice to see them walk out of our office happy with being able to set up payment arrangements so that their water would not get shut off.
