worse
home maker (Former Employee), one north state stateJanuary 16, 2014
I Think Help at Home would be a better health care agency if they would hire professional supervisors on there staff they are so rude and a bit ignorant...They hire young immature women who dnt have respect for there employees and their clients ...The department of aging need to take visit to observe how their supervisors dress especially the office – more... on one north state street I rate them 0 stars they are the worse...! – less

A typical day is very productive and I learned so much from each of my patients every one is so different, the management is very good, I really didn't work with others but when we did see each other we all had different experiences and all respected each other, my hardest part of the day was having to leave my patients at home and my most was enjoying – more... my day with them – less

Too much work and not enough pay
HHA (Former Employee), OhioAugust 17, 2012
Pros: you pick your own hours
Cons: bad pay, difficult people at times
This job varies daily. You do housekeeping, running errands, taking clients to doctor's appointments in your vehicle (only getting .40/mile), bathing clients, etc. I worked very hard and didn't make much $$. If management wants you to fill in for someone and you say "no" they make you sign a form (not sure if you get fired if you sign so many). They – more... do not care if you live far away from a client and have to drive there (only to work 2 hours). All they care about is filling the position. They need to take into account where you live before they expect you to drive 30 miles to make a measley $9/hr for an hour. Not worth it!! If you take this job be aware of this and stand up for yourself or they will walk all over you! – less
