About Henkels & McCoy

When utilities, communications companies, or governments need the real McCoy to install or repair their transmission networks, they can call on specialty contractor Henkels & McCoy (H&M). The firm provides engineering, construction, and network development services in in North and Central America. H&M also installs aerial and underground electrical – more... distribution systems, gas transmission lines, and fiber-optic networks on electric transmission towers or along railroad rights-of-way. The company has some 80 offices throughout the US, as well as in Canada and Mexico.

The company works for a variety of clients including a couple of its oldest customers, Exelon and Verizon. Projects range from work at a single location, to large endeavors that span multiple states.

In addition to its regular work H&M is known for its response to emergencies. The company often sends teams of linemen to repair electric systems damaged by hurricanes, ice storms, wildfires, and other disasters.

The growing wind industry has helped H&M launch a new renewable energy division, which constructs wind farms around the county. The company is capable of engineering and constructing transmission lines, wiring towers, and other tasks associated with wind farm construction. H&M also is working on solar energy projects. The company installs solar panels, transmission lines, and substations.

H&M often makes acquisitions to expand its services or grow its geographic footprint. In 2011 H&M acquired In-Building-Wireless, which specializes in wireless and cellular network infrastructure. The company designs, manages, and installs mobile broadband infrastructure projects.

H&M has offices in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, Washington, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
